About One Thousand & One

Our History

1001 was started in 2025 by local Southeastern Idahoans who wanted to give back to the community. This 501c(3) charity was created to help the many people living on the edge in our community. Due to the shortage of role models, disparity of wealth, retirement, unforeseen hardships, and more; they felt it was time to give back and recruited other board members with complimentary skill sets. As time went on, it became clear to the 1001 board that mentorship guidance was the key to long-term success. Now, 1001 has mentors with various skillsets and experience, making our mentors more valuable to our mission.

Join One Thousand & One in Making a Difference

Behind every financial struggle, career setback, or family hardship is a person who needs guidance, encouragement, and someone who believes in them.

1001 exists to connect people with mentors who show up consistently, patiently, and with purpose.

1001 is a locally founded 501(c)(3) nonprofit connecting trained volunteer mentors with individuals and families ready for growth. Through consistent 1:1 mentorships and practical skill-building, we help people move from uncertainty to stability and from surviving to thriving.

Every setback has a story and every struggle has a person behind it. We believe in real relationships, practical tools, and lasting change.
